Start-up

We bring the system back to life slowly, then walk every zone with you.

  • Open the supply slowly so the mainline fills without water hammer
  • Check the backflow preventer for leaks and correct valve positions
  • Run every zone and inspect each head and nozzle
  • Adjust arcs off sidewalks, siding and driveways
  • Set the controller schedule for spring watering
FallOct – mid Nov

Blowout

Water left in the lines freezes, expands and cracks pipe. Air pushes it out, one zone at a time.

Poly lines≤ 50 PSI
PVC lines≤ 80 PSI
  • Shut off the supply and relieve pressure
  • Blow each zone until only mist comes out of the heads
  • Drain and open the backflow so nothing freezes inside it
  • Set the controller to off for winter

  • Controller wiring faults and replacements

About the name

ah-NOO-ket

Anuket was the ancient Egyptian goddess of the Nile, credited with the yearly flood that watered the fields along its banks. The job is the same on a smaller scale: the right amount of water, on schedule, shut off cleanly when the season ends.
